Tanzania and China have agreed to engage more in research, training and investment in the mining sector in the country and to make the sector continue to contribute significantly to GDP.

The agreement has been reached in Beijing at meeting of the Mineral Minister of Tanzania, Angellah Kairuki and Chinese Natural Resources Minister Lu Hao, as a continuous brotherhood and friendly relationship between the two countries.

Minister Kairuki is in the state of China where he has made the first international conference on investing in mining in the country as a government effort to develop the economy through the sector.

The conference has attracted more than 200 Chinese delegates and 80 others from Tanzania where Kairuki has explained why they have chosen China to be the first part of the international conference for attract investment in the mining sector.
