Ten Girls Saved From Female Circumcision In Kilimanjaro

More than Ten female children  of the Masai community, rescue from female circumcision in the village of Masaini, Moshi District, Kilimanjaro Region.

The children were scheduled to be circumcised  during August 2017 until February 2018, being saved at the end of the pre-incident with a non-governmental organization involved in economic empowerment issues for specific groups including women and youth TUSONGE.

Speaking to journalists, a project coordinator against the traditions and practices that lead to sexual violence and friction, Joyce Kessy has explained that the infants were saved at different times, "in December it is a period where the pastor community performs circumcision  ceremonies and during that period we managed to save those children, and we have now set up collective agreements with the health officials in those areas to deal with each parent who will take child to hospital in order for treatment to be purchased as she has been circumcised "added Kessy.

TUSONGE's CEO, Agnatha Rutazaa, urged the Government to strengthen the arbitration council in the ward that could be justified when making decisions without regard to human capacity, and in addition to the statement in 16 days of sexual assault from November 25 through December 10 , the TUSONGE organization has begun to educate youth groups to become a leopard of social change in condemning fisheries issues.
