Norway And Tanzania Continue To Cooperate In Education Sector

Minister of Education, Science and Technology Prof. Joyce Ndalichako has met with the Norwegian Ambassador to Tanzania Elizabeth Jacobsen in Dodoma where, among other things, they have discussed the cooperation in the education sector between the two countries.

Minister Ndalichako thanked the Norwegian government for continuing to support the education sector through the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) Fund and has assured Ambassador Jacobsen that all the funds provided through the program will be used as intended.

Minister Ndalichako mentioned the funding priorities for school quality management, procurement and training for teachers at work.

For his part, the Norwegian Ambassador to Tanzania, Elisabeth Jacobsen, has congratulated the Government of Tanzania for making great progress in education and explained that they are satisfied with the implementation of the establishment of the Center for Air Conditioning at Sokoine University (SUA). The Center is funded by the Norwegian State Government in collaboration with the Government of Tanzania.
