Kagera and Biashara United stun leaders, Simba and Yanga

Defending champions Simba SC and arch-rivals Yanga SC failed to utilize from each other’s failure following defeats to both teams.

Simba SC which tops the league with 81-points were for the fourth consecutive time lost to Kagera Sugar by 1-0 at the Uhuru stadium.

Simba which thrashed Coastal Union to climb top of the table on Wednesday failed to emulate the performance against the 8-position side.

The victory came through own goal conceded by Mohammed Hussein following a deflection of Paul Ngayoma’s cross.

Simba SC goalkeeper, Aishi Manula might be at fault for his movement that led to miss the ball which loosen from Hussein’s control.

Simba strikers which enjoy double hat-trick in a previous match against Coastal Union failed to break the solid defence led by former Msimbazi defender Juma Nyosso with excellent saves from Salum Kipao denying them from every attempt.

In Mara, the home side Biashara United stunned Young Africans with a 1-0 victory thanks to 9-minute shot from Tariq Seif.

Simba stays top of the table with 81 points with six games to play while archrivals are second with 80 with three matches to play.
